Confessions of a 20-Year-Old Tech NEET: Figuring Out the Next Step

Bachelor Background

I’m currently a 22-year-old Computer Science student graduated from the University of Verona. I’ve been studyinig deeply and committedly for 3 years and this allowed me to achieve my degree without failing any exam and in the fastest way possible.

The dilemma

But now What? What should I do? I have to decide, BUT The priority is that I don’t want to WASTE TIME

The reality

Of course as I finished the bachelor degree in october 2025 I could only persue the master at the university of verona…and this was not my first choice to be honest as I want to push myself more and change totally the environment.

I have to admit that during this months at home I invest my time pretty well:

  • I’ve been studying and keep myself up to date with AI
  • I’ve been building new tools with AI-Tools ( For businesses but also for myself )
  • I’ve also been in Brighton ( for 5 weeks ) to improve my english at the ELC Language School and get my IELTS Academic Certificate ( 7.5 achieved ).

But now, after the UK experience I feel really stuck…passing my day, that seems productive in front of my pc , doesn’t feel enough for me….I feel I’m wasting my time ( the most important time as I’m in the decade where you have to build your future ) and this make me feel a failure.

This is because I want to change my situation, I have big plans and big goals to achieve…but it seems that they are only dreams and not plans as I cannot work towards them, and this really make me thinking, so we’ll discover what is going to happen in the next blog post.

See you!
