Bugs, questions, feature ideas, or telling me the app helped you find something you'd given up on — all welcome. Replies usually take a couple of days.
mattioli.simone.10@gmail.comHelpful to include
- Your iPhone model and iOS version
- The SafeSpotter version (Settings → About)
- What you did, what happened, what you expected
- A screenshot, if it's something you can see
- Whether iCloud sync is on or off
Never send the contents of private items. They aren't needed to fix anything.
What I can help with
- How a feature works, or why it behaves that way
- Bugs, crashes and layout problems
- Feature requests and rough edges worth filing down
- Questions about privacy, storage and sync
What I can't do
- See, read or restore your items — I hold no copy of them
- Recover data from a device that was lost without a backup
- Reset an Apple Account or fix iCloud sign-in problems
- Refund an App Store purchase — the app is free anyway

Common questions
How do I back up my items?
Turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings and your items live in your private iCloud database as well as on the device. A full iPhone backup — to iCloud or a computer — also includes SafeSpotter's local data.
I lost my iPhone. Can I get my items back?
If sync was on, sign in to iCloud on the new device, open SafeSpotter and they will reappear. If sync was off, restore the new device from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one. Without either, the items are gone — there is no server-side copy to recover.
Face ID isn't asking me to unlock.
Check that Require Face ID or Passcode is on in Settings, and that SafeSpotter is allowed to use Face ID in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Other Apps. The lock screen waits for you to tap Unlock — it does not scan automatically.
My items aren't appearing on my other device.
Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled, and sync switched on inside SafeSpotter. The first sync needs a network connection and can take a few minutes. If iCloud storage is full, Apple pauses syncing until space is freed.
Can I use SafeSpotter without iCloud?
Yes. Leave sync off and everything stays in a local-only store on that iPhone. Nothing about the app requires a network connection.
How do I delete everything?
Delete items inside the app, then delete the app to remove its local store. If you used iCloud sync, also remove SafeSpotter's data from your Apple Account settings to clear the cloud copy.
